PMAFA Karate BBC will demonstrate on the field at
Harding High School on Friday June 6th the 7th day of Peace Week at 7 p.m.
WHAT AND WHY IS JUNETEENTH?
Many people do not realize the benefits of their child's participation in a parade.
How many of you parents can really say you had the opportunity as a child to march in a parade and demonstrate to the public?
I am sure not many of you had the opportunity. I did not either.
Martial Arts is about character development and acquiring the courage to stand with pride and conviction in front of those who may judge you.
It promotes the ability to conquer inadequacies and physical disbeliefs.
There is so much more positives that happens to a student when participating in such an event.
Give your child the opportunity that many children wish they could and should be a part of!
Line-up and Marching Route
PMAFA students will meet at the Karate School at 9 a.m. for last minute training. Please eat a good breakfast! We will carpool to our destination around 9:30. The march is short, about 45 minutes if that. Then it's over.
We have been asked to do a short demo on the Band Shell after the Parade. I do not have an exact time, but I know it is after the complete march ends. So plan for the unexpected.
The parade will kickoff at 11 a.m. from Seaside Park Beach entrance.
The main performers will be the PMAFA Black Belt Club. Other students will follow behind in formation, watch, learn, and support. They will be responsible for some basic techniques and the cadence songs.
The Juneteenth participants will have first priority to march in the larger Puerto Rican Day Parade in July.
AUTHORIZED UNIFORMS ONLY
No mismatch of uniforms
Black Belts = White Uniform with Black Trim
Black Belt Club - BBC Uniform with Red Trim
Other Students - Royal Blue Summer Gear
Other Students - Traditional Whites
Note: If you are not in proper uniform, you will have to be in the back with any marching parents.
This will be the order of line up from front to back.
