Intermediate students (Green Belts) should show a strong foundation of their basics as they solidify them by helping beginners.  In the process of helping beginners, they learn more about themselves and what  it really takes to be a successful martial artist.  There is an incredible journey of new and more profound techniques and movements through the Green Belt ranks which will define the winners from the losers.

Advance students (Red Belt) will begin to feel achieved as they advance to the coveted position of Black Belt.  But what will become their own nemesis is their own egos.  Sometimes the closer we get to what we perceive is the finish line, the more we forget what it took to get us there.  So at times, comfortability sets in as well as regression.  Those that maintain the fire for self and not for a title, belt, or certification will ultimately achieve success in the true sense of ability and respect.

Black Belts are the Officers!  They are the well tuned engines that once started will run all by itself.  But like a well tuned engine there are always modifications that enhance the performance and carry the vehicle farther and faster.  Now the Black Belt advances its degrees like a scholar achieving a Masters and Doctors degree.

From that evolves efficiency and reservation all while achieving the same end result.  Wow!!  The road to travel is always long when you seek to excel to new heights.
